Big Iron is a Side Quest in Outriders. This quest tasks players to salvage some tech for Channa. A side quest focuses on adding and unlocking more details to the lore of the game, allowing you to better understand the environment of the game, as well as the various supporting elements in it. Side Quests are important as well since they can provide you with rewards such as EXP and loot.

Channa believes she could make use of the old tech that was left behind by the humans that died here, and may be able to craft a weapon for you. Search the surroundings of the fort and recover any usable tech for Channa.

Big Iron Walkthrough

• Begin the Side Quest by speaking to Channa at the Desolate Fort Camp area and selecting "Something on your mind?" She wants you to look for some tech she can salvage to create a new weapon. This quest can be activated during the Echoes Main Quest, after finding shelter for your crew.

Look for old gear in the area

• Follow the quest marker on the minimap to lead you to the next destination in the quest. It will lead you to the other weapon part locations. You will be looking for 3 weapon parts.
• The parts will lead you to the Dwindling Oasis and the Abandoned Village in the Desolate Fort area. 
• Clear the oasis of any enemies and creatures. Harvest any weapon parts when you are clear of combat. Follow the minimap quest markers to proceed to the next area and continue clearing the areas to harvest weapon parts until you have three in total.
•  Fast travel back to the Camp to return to Channa when all parts are obtained to complete the quest. 
• Channa will ask you for your preferred Legendary Weapon
