Hunter - Sandshifter | Outriders Wiki

Hunter - Sandshifter is a Hunter Quest in Outriders. This type of quest focuses on completing hunting down various alien creatures that pose a threat to human civilization. During your exploration, you will come across carcasses of alien creatures that are scattered around certain sections of a location. When you see one, inspect it and you will be able to unlock that quest. Wanted Quests are important just as important as any other Quests since they can provide you with rewards such as EXP and loot.

Hunter - Sandshifter Walkthrough

• Unlock Hunter - Sandshifter by reaching the Canyon of the Obelisk during the "Sacrifice" Main Quest.
• Fast travel to the Desolate Fort and proceed to the Buried Road. Locate and interact with the carcass to begin the hunt.
• Enter the Hunter - Sandshifter area, follow the marker while clearing Perforos on the way.
• You will encounter an area blocked with rocks on the way. Clear the rocks and proceed onwards, and you will pass by a group of Perforos, accompanied by Alpha Perforos, Venomous Perforos, and two large Sciathans.
• The Sandshifter shall appear from the tunnel behind the Sciathans. Kite around structures, maintain distance and defeat the Sandshifter with high damage long range weapons and Skills. 
• Loot the remains. Fast travel to Trench Town, deliver the trophy to Noah at the Saloon, and select your choice of gear from the rewards.
• Bring the trophy to Noah in Trench Town

Hunter - Sandshifter Notes & Tips

• Against Sciathans: Since Sciathans are airborne, they are immune to Skills and attacks that are casted from ground, and often they manage to dodge bullets as they hover. Utilizing Skills and Mods such as Toxic, Bleed, or Burn will deal extra DoT damage to the Sciathans, greatly speeding up the time needed to defeat them.
• Against the Sandshifter: Whenever you notice the Sandshifter charging up its Obliterating Beam or preparing its Frontal Sweep attack, quickly dodge behind the nearest structure(if possible), as they can be negated by line of sight. Do not move out of the structure until the meter on top of the Sandshifter's HP has fully depleted, as the remaining beam can still damage you if you are exposed.
