Old Powers is a Side Quest in Outriders. This quest tasks players to search for more Obelisks for information on how they work. A side quest focuses on adding and unlocking more details to the lore of the game, allowing you to better understand the environment of the game, as well as the various supporting elements in it. Side Quests are important as well since they can provide you with rewards such as EXP and loot.

 

To understand the mechanism behind the Obelisks, Zahedi asked you to search the area around the ancient ruins for more Obelisks and examine them to figure out how they work.

Old Powers Walkthrough

  • This Side Quest can be activated during the Relics Main Quest after defeating Baily. Speak to Dr. Zahedi and ask "How did August calm the Anomaly?" to begin the quest. He will be at the Camp in the Ancient Ruins. He wants you to search for Obelisks around the area.
  • Follow the quest marker, or travel directly to the Distorted Sculpture in the Ancient ruins to search for an Obelisk.
  • Clear the area to proceed, then investigate the Obelisk to trigger a cutscene. 
  • Proceed to the new quest marker to locate another Obelisk and clear any enemies or obstructions in the way.
  • Interact with the second Obelisk then proceed to locate the third one. 
  • Clear the areas to continue. Defeat Kang's Pillager and investing the last Obelisk
  • Return to Zahedi at the Camp to complete the Side Quest.
