Outrider's Legacy is a Side Quest in Outriders. This quest tasks players to complete a series of tasks in order to obtain an Outrider's Key and discover the Outriders' bunker secrets. A side quest focuses on adding and unlocking more details to the lore of the game, allowing you to better understand the environment of the game, as well as the various supporting elements in it. Side Quests are important as well since they can provide you with rewards such as EXP and loot.
You found a hanged man carrying a love letter, in which he claimed to be the last of the Outriders and described how he survived while hiding in the Quarry for years, protecting a secret, until he could no longer bear to stay there. He left the bunker and went to Trench Town. It seems he fell in love with a woman named Lucy, to whom he gave a key. Perhaps this Lucy knows more.

- Find Lucy and ask about the Outrider's hatch.
- Search for Monique in the Wreckage Zone.
- Return to Lucy to collect the key to the Outrider's hatch.

- Locate the remains of Sergio Acosta's expedition.
- Find Sergio Acosta's body.
- Return the photograph to Mercer.
- Return to the Outrider's bunker in the Quarry and open the second door.

Outrider's Legacy Walkthrough
- This quest is activated after completing the Detour Main Quest. Investigate the hanged body with the outrider note at the Camp in Trench Town to begin the quest.
- He left a goodbye letter that mentioned a secret Outrider enclave and a key that leads to it. He gave the key to a girl named Lucy
- Look for Lucy in Trench Town. She wants you to check on her friend, Monique in the Wreckage Zone before she gives you the key.
- Travel to the Wreckage Zone. Head into the cave and enter the red doors to enter Clearwater Springs. Clear the path and plant the flag to unlock fast travel to this area.
- Interact with the rope to enter the Outriders' Legacy Area
- Enter the hut with the set of stairs. This will initiate a cutscene. Monique will be in the wooden hut in the midst of an argument and is in no need of assistance.
- Return to Lucy to retrieve the Key.
- Fast travel to the Quarry in the Camp at Trench Town for the Outriders' hatch. Get past the fallen tree.
- Proceed to the area and clear it to locate the bunker. There will be a hatch on the floor.
- Search the bunker for clues.
- Search for Sergio or Mercer Acosta in the forest. Speak to Mercer Acosta. He will be at the Enclave Camp at the Forest Enclave. Ask him about his Outrider's coat. He will ask you to bring back a picture of his mother found around a chain on his father. His father's remains are believed to still be there in the middle of the jungle.
- Enter the Enclave Outskirts to locate the remains of Sergio Acosta's expedition. Proceed past the fallen tree to enter another quest area.
- Clear the area and investigate the body.
- Return to Mercer Acosta to inform him that you found the picture.
- Return to the bunker in the Quarry with the key acquired from the body to unlock the next area.
- Open the second floor and head down the bunker and search the area for clues. You will discover that Sarah Tanner had been there, and her last journal entry says that she walked into the forest in search of her husband and son.
- Travel to the Horrific Sculptures area in The Gate.
- Search for her body. It will be located next to a tent.
- Return to the Quarry bunker. Use the master key to reveal the secret in the Outriders' bunker. Investigate the area. This will eventually trigger a cutscene.
- A horde of enemies will enter after the cutscene. Repel the attack and clear the area to trigger the next cutscene. This will also end the quest.
