Transmog System is a new feature that's been added to Outriders as per latest update. Transmogging allows you to change the visual aspect of an item to that of another item, while maintaining the mods and stats of the original gear piece. For weapons, this will also include all sounds. Transmogging also works cross class, meaning that you can have a Devastator wearing a Pyromancer piece, or a Trickster wearing a Technomancer piece, and so on.

Transmog System in Outriders

How does the Transmog System work?

As it was stated above, you will be able to customize your Class' Weapons and Armor visually to another item while still maintaining the mods and stats of its original gear piece. You would be able to mix and match gear pieces from different classes too, for instance, you can equip a gear piece from your Technomancer class to your Trickster class.

For Weapons, you would be able to transmog any type of gun within that subclass to the weapon of your liking. For example, you can only transmog a certain Sidearm if the item you're going to use as a reskin is also a sidearm, it cannot be a reskin of a sidearm to a Shotgun. If you are able to transmog a certain weapon, the sound of the weapon you used as a reskin will also apply to your current weapon. For Armor, you have the option to transmog a set piece of armor to your current class, or you can do it individually per gear piece.

Note that transmog is only possible within the same gear categories, e.g. Automatic shotguns into Automatic shotguns. Transmogged Items retain the colour shading of the original gear piece. If you make a Legendary Gear piece look like a Common gear piece for example, the background colour shading will remain Legendary Gold.

You will only need to collect an item once, and you will be able to apply their Transmog effects an unlimited amount of times.

How do I access the Transmog menu?

Transmog is accessed through a new tab in the Customization Menu as well as through a shortcut in a given items Detail View screen. Opening the Transmog menu will give you access to all collected and available looks for the given item. In this menu, you are able to preview and either apply a Transmog look to the given item, or even apply the same Transmog set in one go.

Transmogged Items have an extra Icon on their item view to identify them as transmogged.

How to Transmog?

Just select any item, weapon, or gear piece you would want to transmog, and then open the Visual Customization. You will see there everything you have collected in your inventory under that category. Then, you select your preferred skin for the item you're using, just hover over the skin, then choose "Apply". If you ever choose to select the whole set piece for the armor to be on your character, you can select the option "Apply to all Equipped".

Will it include microtransactions?

No. Transmogging is entirely free. Since the Transmog System was one of the most requested features to be added on the game. Transmogging can also be done practically at any time. No convoluted systems, MTX, in-game currencies, nor require any sort of grind.

Transmog Library

Transmog Library spans across your entire account and is not character-specific. Any designs found on a new character will be added to the global account Transmog library. Any gear item you find in Outriders will be automatically added to your Transmog Library, and all items that are currently in your stash are already in your Transmog Library as well.
